Measure it. Draw it. Quote it.

ALDAS is a flooring takeoff and quoting app for flooring and tile installers. Open the plan, or punch in what you measured on site. ALDAS works out the boxes, the carpet seams, the trim and the labour, then hands you the quote for the customer, a work order for the crew and a material list for the supplier.

Works on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows. Keeps working with no signal.

ALDAS is made in Kelowna for flooring installers who want their quotes done right, without paying for software built for a whole estimating department. If something's missing, tell us and we'll look at it.

Three steps from tape to quote

No course to take first. If you've quoted a floor before, you already know how this goes.

  1. Open the plan, or don't

Drop in a PDF, a photo of the drawing or a DXF from AutoCAD, and set the scale. No plan? Type in what your measuring tape says.

  2. Draw the rooms

Drag out a rectangle or click the corners. Pick the flooring and ALDAS works out the boxes, seams and cut list.

  3. Send the quote

Add trim, transitions, prep and removal. Send the customer a clean PDF, give the crew a work order and text the material list to your supplier.

Watch a whole job in 90 seconds

A three-bedroom house in Kelowna, from the floor plan to the quote. Draw a room, lay out the carpet, pick the colours, check the numbers and send it.

Captions are part of the video, so it works with the sound off.

The parts that eat your evening, handled

Rooms in seconds, with the area as you draw

Drag a rectangle or click around any shape. Cut-outs take off islands and tubs. When you set the scale, a point finder snaps to the exact mark on the drawing, and a quick check tells you if the scale is off.

Carpet seams and cuts, laid out for you

Every carpet room is laid out on the roll width you stock, with the seams shown on the plan. Turn the roll and the seams, cut list and order all update together.

The cut list prints on the crew's work order, without prices.

Every colour on its own line

Pick the colour or size for each room. The estimate, the material order and the work order list each one separately, so the right boxes show up on site.

Add colours and sizes to any product in your price list, with the supplier's SKU if you like.

No plan? Bring your tape.

Start a job without a plan and type what you measure. Width, Enter. Length, Enter. Add another rectangle for an L-shaped room or a closet, and enter baseboard wall by wall. ALDAS does the adding.

Measured carpet rooms still get a real seam layout, not just a square-footage guess.

Prices that hold once the quote is sent

Download or copy a quote and its prices lock. Change your price list next week and the quote you sent stays exactly as your customer saw it.

If prices have moved, ALDAS shows what today's prices would come to. You decide whether to update.

Stuck? Just ask.

The help is built in. Ask a question in plain words and get a plain answer, with a link straight to the right spot in the guide. No manual to dig through.

What you hand the customer, the crew and the supplier

One takeoff, three documents. These are real pages from the demo job above.

First page of a sample quote from Lakeline Flooring: business details, customer, and every material and labour line with quantity, rate and amount.

The quote

Your business name and GST number, then every line in plain words. The total, deposit, your terms and a diagram of the rooms follow on the next pages. Your costs and margins never show.

Crew work order: the floor plan with each room's flooring, which way the carpet runs, the cut count and the carpet seams. No prices.

The crew's work order

The plan with each room's flooring, which way the carpet runs and where the seams go, plus the cut list. No prices on it.

Materials to have on site: carpet in lineal feet of roll, pad, tile and LVP in boxes, thinset and grout in bags, trim in lengths, and transitions by opening width.

The material list

Boxes, rolls, bags and lengths for every product and colour, on the last page of the work order. The same list is on the Estimate tab, ready to copy into a text to your supplier or save as a spreadsheet.

Taxes for your province

Deposits, minimums and discounts
Deposit as a percent or a set amount, a minimum job charge, and discounts in dollars or percent.
Tile on walls too
Shower walls and backsplashes go in as width × height, with their own labour rate. Underlay and membranes stay on the floor.
Labour-only quotes
Customer buying the flooring? Tick Labour only and the quote lists what they need to buy, at no charge.
Two options, one set of measurements
Laminate instead of LVP? Price an option from the same takeoff and the quote shows both totals.
Keeps working with no signal
No cell service in the basement? Keep working. Your changes sync when you're back online.
Every device, one account
Start on the laptop, finish on the phone. Jobs and prices follow you.
Multi-page PDFs
Each page keeps its own scale and rooms, so a two-storey house stays tidy.
Your prices, your way
Set your own sections, flooring types, units and columns. Prep can be flat, hourly, by the bag or by the square foot.
Just the takeoff, if that's all you need
Turn off the estimate and quote tabs and use ALDAS as a measuring tool.
Check every number
Each room shows its area, perimeter, waste and cuts, and the estimate lists every line. Nothing hidden.

Questions installers ask

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. ALDAS runs in the browser on iPhone, Android, tablets, Mac and Windows. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

What if there's no signal on site?

Once ALDAS has opened on your device, it keeps working offline. Your jobs are saved on the device and upload when you're back online.

Do I need a plan?

No. Start a job without a plan and type in your measurements: width by length for floors, wall by wall for baseboard, and a count for transitions and stairs.

What flooring does it handle?

LVP, laminate, hardwood, tile, carpet and sheet goods, plus trim, transitions, stair nosing, underlay and setting materials like thinset and grout. You can add your own types and sections.

What kind of plans can I open?

PDFs (including multi-page sets), photos or scans of a drawing, and DXF files from AutoCAD.

Can I check how it got the numbers?

Yes. Every room shows its area, perimeter, waste and cuts, and the estimate lists every line with its quantity and rate. The help explains each calculation.

Will my customer see my costs?

No. Costs and margins stay on your estimate screen. The quote only shows what you charge.

What happens to a quote if my prices change?

Nothing, once it's sent. Downloading or copying a quote locks its prices, so the customer's total stays put. If your prices have moved since, ALDAS shows what today's prices would come to, and you choose whether to update the quote.

Can I keep my own quote numbers going?

Yes. Set the next number in Settings, like 0432, and ALDAS carries on from there. A number is used when you send a quote, so drafts you never send don't leave gaps.

Where are my jobs and prices kept?

In your ALDAS account, stored in Canada, and on your own devices so it works offline. Other ALDAS users can't see your jobs, prices or customers, and we don't look unless you ask us to for support, we need to fix a problem, or the law requires it. There are no ads or trackers, and your data is never sold. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app anytime. The privacy policy has the details.

How much will it cost?

It's free during early access. Paid plans come later, in Canadian dollars, and we plan to offer founder pricing to early users. You'll see the price before you're ever charged, and nothing is charged without you agreeing to it.

Is it only for flooring?

For now. Painting and other trades are planned, built the same way.

Finish the quote on site, not at the kitchen table at night
